The senior housing industry fulfills a critical void in our country that cannot be addressed by any other means.
Despite advances in telemedicine and home health care, the need for personal attention at an affordable rate, coupled with the overwhelming demand from an aging population will usher in the "Silver Tsunami" and quality communities which employ the latest technology and sanitization protocols will become highly prized assets.

The senior housing sector is emerging as an increasingly lucrative investment opportunity due to its favorable baby boomer demographic fundamentals and the achievement of higher yields relative to conventional housing.
The demographic growth of seniors (defined as 65 and older) is forecast to affect over 25% of the population in the US during the next decade. With more than 10,000 people turning 65 each day it is estimated that as many as 6 million Americans are going to need generation-specific housing in the coming years.
With the demographics clearly in favor of this asset class, Protea Capital has secured substantial long-term financing for its projects and has assembled a best-in-class consortium of professionals including senior living operators, entitlement experts, architects, interior designers and investment bankers.
